Apostle Wilbur L. Jones, Sr. was born in Bronx, New York. For 48 years he has been the faithful Pastor of the Beulah Church of God in Christ Jesus Inc. Brooklyn, New York. In 1964, while under the leadership of the late Apostle William L. Bonner, the third presider of the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ (COOLJC), Bishop Jones answered the call to preach. He heard the command “Preach My Word, preach My Word, for I have called and you will not do. I have charged and you will not go. Preach My Word”. After the successful completion of this ministerial training, Bishop Jones served as Junior Pastor at the Greater Refuge Temple from 1968 to 1969. He was later ordained an Elder within the Churches of our Lord Jesus Christ. Apostle Jones is an alumni of the City University of New York, Church of Christ Bible College and received a Bachelor of Theology, a Master of Theology and a Diploma in Clinical Pastoral Counseling, Doctorate of Divinity from Baltimore College of the Bible, Commonwealth University; Master of Arts, and Doctor of Sacred Theology from Eastern American University.
In 1972, Apostle Jones was installed as the pastor of the Beulah Church of Brooklyn, New York, which was established by the late Bishop Peter Bridgers. Under his spiritual guidance the initial congregation of five members has experienced tremendous growth within the United States, South America, Africa and India. He is known for his exemplary leadership as the Senior Pastor of the Beulah Church which includes a diverse congregation. Despite a challenging schedule, and pastoral duties, Bishop is a confidant and spiritual covering for many men and women of God in the United States. Apostle Jones has mentored distinguished Pentecostal leaders such as the late Dean Kenneth Bligen, the late Bishop Thomas Richardson, and Apostle James I Clark.

Apostle Wilbur L. Jones, Sr. has provided a spiritual foundation, built on love for the members, visitors, and those less fortunate in the Bedford Stuyvesant Community. Thirty years ago, Apostle Jones opened the Agape Social Service Ministries to show “the highest form of love-which is charity” the love of God for man, which is unconditional regardless of the circumstance of those in need. The Agape Social Service Ministries began with financial and clothing donations from the members who embraced the vision. Within a year, the Agape Social Service became certified to receive funding to operate a food pantry, offering professional counseling, resume writing and job-career readiness.

The Agape Social Ministries operates a pantry, soup kitchen and has evolved into community outreach, Vacation Bible School , back to school “giveaways”, health and career fairs and most recently tutoring for the Math and ELA Regents exam, at no cost to the students.

Apostle Jones’ vision is for souls and more souls for the kingdom of God. A much sought after plenary speaker throughout the Pentecostal and non-denominational churches, preaching on television, conventions and seminars teaching the unadulterated word of God; faith, love and power throughout the United States. Through the Beulah Church International Ministerial Alliance has led to outreach in the Caribbean, Asia, Africa and Europe. He is fluent in Spanish, and has ministered in Latin and Central America.

Apostle Jones has written over 10 books and pamphlets: Some include, Tongue-Speaking (Glossolalia): A Bible-Historical Account, God’s True Church and Original Baptism, An Essay on Christmas, Marriage until Death do us Part, and Life in The Holy Spirit. Several secular awards, citations and proclamations have been awarded to Apostle Jones.

Apostle Jones is married to the love of his life, Shepherd Mother Sandra Marie Jones. They are the parents of Lady Tania Michael, Elder Wilbur L. Jones, Jr. and Sister Tiffane Jones-Barrow. Apostle Jones and Mother Jones have been blessed with nine grandchildren: Horace III, Sandra, Zoe, Zerahiah, Sierra, Diamond, Joshua, Sara and Anthony. They have been blessed to see their great grandchildren: Horace IV, Rene Elizabeth, Gabriel, Benjamin, Noah and Evadne.
